Die Jury der Videospielmesse Gamescom hat die besten Videospiele der Show gekürt. Klarer Gewinner war dabei Nintendos im Herbst erscheinender Plattformer "Super Mario Odyssey", das fünf Awards abräumen konnte – inklusive dem Preis "Best of Gamescom" und interessanter Weise dem Award fürs beste Action-Game. Andere Entscheidungen waren nicht so klar. So wurden als bestes Game für Xbox One und PS4 zwei unterschiedliche Multiplattform-Spiele gewählt.
